Powering a Non-Stop Lifestyle

Powering a Non-Stop Lifestyle

Energy management is one of the biggest challenges we face on a daily basis. I often get asked “How do you maintain the energy to do everything?” No two days are the same for me. Without any consistency or routine, I have to do the best I can to stay on top of everything and deliver at the level I want to.

I run two businesses, train every day, travel away from home for roughly two weeks of every month, create content for my social media accounts that reach 1.2 million people every month, and often put myself through gruelling physical challenges. Having the physical and mental capacity to deliver is my top priority!

Falling In Love With Lake Como, Italy

Falling In Love With Lake Como, Italy

Mum and I will forever cherish those lazy afternoons relaxing in the Palazzo listening to the waves lap on the shores of Lake Como. The sun filtering through our window, and the memories of that morning’s activity - kayaking, cycling, breakfasting - fresh in our minds. Lake Como has been on my bucket list for 20 years and the moment I laid eyes on the place, I knew why.

10 Hidden Treasures of the Outer Hebrides

10 Hidden Treasures of the Outer Hebrides

The Outer Hebrides is one of the most magical places on earth. As my love affair with Scotland developed over the last few years, I remember whispers from people saying I had to go there. Having spent a week road tripping, adventuring and wild camping through the OH, I urge you to add these islands to your bucket list. If you are looking for an unforgettable, breathtakingly beautiful, fun, adventurous and off the beaten track experience, here are my favourite hidden gems for you to explore and experience.

My Annual London to Paris Sportive | L2P24

My Annual London to Paris Sportive | L2P24

It’s 3pm on Saturday 29th April and a group of 120 cyclists are preparing to embark on the epic challenge of cycling 200 miles from London to Paris in 24 hours.

These are ordinary people with the desire to achieve something extraordinary.

Completing this challenge is an extraordinary achievement requiring physical, mental and emotional strength. I believe there is nothing more powerful and valuable than proving to yourself how strong and incredible you really are. That’s why I organise this event each year.

How to deliver the performance of your life, TODAY

How to deliver the performance of your life, TODAY

Imagine a world where the first thought in everyone’s mind is “I’m going to achieve something outstanding today.”

We are often weighed down with the pressure of the expectations we put on ourselves. Ambition can be squashed by people around us who feel threatened by our brilliance and don’t want to see us shine. We can feel inundated with an overflowing inbox, meetings, social engagements, family commitments and a never ending To-Do List, to really create the drivers we need to produce our best work day after day.

After all, that’s what we are aiming for, right? It’s no good doing great work for a day, a week, or even a month, if after that we let our standards slip. Consistency is king. We want to be the person others rely on to show up, deliver and make it happen. Be a doer not a talker. Be someone that makes it happen TODAY and doesn’t wait for that ever-illusive ‘one day’.

You are doing the best you can

You are doing the best you can

How often do you tell yourself “I am doing the best I can”?  It’s all too easy to fall into the habit of talking to ourselves in negative manner or publicly putting ourselves down. This fuels self-doubt and gives rise to the self-critic in each of us. The self-critic serves a purpose but it cannot rule us. It’s there to keep us in check. It can be the catalyst for positive change, but on the other hand, it can rob us of our light. It can pull us under in a downward spiral of low self-esteem, concern about social acceptance, dislike of ourselves, and fuel the belief that “I am not enough.”

The Scotland Chapter

The Scotland Chapter

At the end of last year I started to break free from the sadness and turbulence of 2016. I looked towards the bright future I dream of creating, and felt Scotland calling me. I was drawn by the idea of immersing myself in an environment where I could focus on creating content in a place that inspires me. Scotland has always opened up my heart, soul and creativity to produce my best work and I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off 2017.

10 Adventures in Aviemore and The Cairngorms

It’s no secret that I have a sweet spot for Scotland. I confess, it’s more like a deep, passionate love fest for the place! What is it that I love so much about Scotland, and specifically, The Cairngorms?

It’s the raw and rugged beauty that gets me every time. Scotland has kind of scenery, wilderness and tranquillity you may think you’d have to travel to New Zealand or Canada for, yet it’s accessible with a one-hour flight from London.  It’s the place I visit to step back, breathe, hang out in nature and reset my balance.

I have teamed up with Visit Cairngorms to share with you my favourite places; hidden gems as well as more well-known hot spots, experiences and adventures. Enjoy!

How to Train for an Endurance Challenge

How to Train for an Endurance Challenge

Endurance challenges had me hooked many years ago. Being deep in the pain cave, feeling completely broken and like you have nothing left to give. Finding a way to keep going, keep pushing and come out the other side to complete your wild and ambitious challenge. That feeling, is something I would love everyone in the world to experience. It’s magical because of the way it changes you.

Having completed some of the world’s toughest endurance events like Ironman, World’s Toughest Mudder, running 100km ultra marathons and cycling London to Paris in 24 hours, here is what I’ve learnt along the road.
